Multiply Your Wordpress Blog’s Revenue Stream In Minutes
If you are already making money on your Wordpress blog, Auction Thumbs can help you potentially double it. The fact is, I made Auction Thumbs for myself. I had no thought of sharing the product with anyone else. I had four blogs and I wanted to augment my Adsense revenues with an alternate revenue source and the Ebay affiliate program was an appropriate fit. Little did I know that Ebay revenue would quickly outstrip my Adsense earnings. Once I saw the potential for others to make more money on their blogs and to do so with the convenience of a plugin installation, Auction Thumbs was born.
What Does Auction Thumbs Do?
Auction Thumbs displays highly-relevant thumbnail images of Ebay auction products in your blog, seamlessly working into your design. The thumbnails will either be displayed in the Post Footer of each post, in the Sidebar, or both, if you so choose. Each of the thumbnails has an affiliate link and the Ebay Partner Network cookie is dropped once a visitor clicks on an image. Mouseover text informs the visitor as to the item Title, Current Bid, and Auction End Date.
Auction Thumbs is designed to display highly-relevant thumbnails along with your content. The more relevant the items are to your blog post, the more likely a visitor will click on the affiliate links, the more revenue you will see.
Remember, your goal as an Ebay Affiliate is not to get them to necessarily buy what they click on – it is to entice them to click with highly relevant products, drop a cookie, and you get revenue for ANYTHING THEY BUY WITHIN THE NEXT 7 DAYS. That is the secret to Ebay’s revenue performance. Ebay is paying you to drive traffic to all their products, not just what the visitor clicks on. If your site visitor clicks on a book on your site and buys a car instead in the next 7 days, you get the commission on the car!
You may be wondering why do I need Auction Thumbs when Ebay already provides their own free tools? One big reason is appearance. You work hard to make sure that your site has a visually appealing design. However, you want to make some money, so affiliate product sales links need to be incorporated somewhere on your blog. Which of the following affiliate links would you prefer on your blog? Which is less busy? less obtrusive? more elegant?
All the item text is hidden in the mouseover vs. in the face of your site visitor (see live demos for examples).
Auction Thumbs is also more flexible than Ebay tools alone. The relevancy of the links can be controlled by the way the administrator chooses to use Auction Thumbs. Auction Thumbs’ powerful tag-based matching randomly selects tags from your post and matches the tags against Ebay inventory. You control how many tags are randomly selected. This is set globally and can instantly populate your entire blog with relevant affiliate links. You can override the global behavior at the post-level by providing fine-tuned search criteria if you so choose at the time of post authoring.
- No messing with script or programming – add Auction Thumbs through standard Wordpress plugin administration
- Installation and configuration can be done in a few minutes
- Thumbnail size, border color, count are configurable
- Track revenue granularly with up to four Ebay campaign numbers
And this is cool ….
… If you’re readers get your content via RSS – the widget shows up in in their RSS reader! No need for them to go to your site to hit your affiliate links! See an example here.

Income Results From Using Auction Thumbs
I’ve been using Ebay-provided affiliate tools (mostly text links and Editor Kit) for over a year with great results, but I was able to ramp my income up to a whole new level in the past four months with the use of the Auction Thumbs plugin. Here’s how my revenue has changed since the addition of the plugin:
The yellow bars show the additional revenue that Auction Thumbs provided on my blog. That is an actual 63% increase over BOTH Adsense and existing Ebay affiliate sales alone for the period of August – October. How would you like a 63% raise?
For those of you who are not currently Ebay affiliates, if you remove the “Ebay Tools” numbers above, it can give you a feel for the impact that Auction Thumbs can have on a site with just Adsense alone:
For the four months where the plugin was in use there was a 140% income jump over Adsense alone on my blogs. That is more than doubling revenue. November is shaping up to be equally strong.
Auction Thumbs Can Pay For Itself
If this plugin wasn’t generating the revenue it is for me, it would be uploaded and living in the Wordpress free plugin directory. This plugin is too valuable for bloggers to give it away for nothing!
Anything that is free is probably worth what you paid for it – and the support you get with it is probably worth the same.
At only $47, Auction Thumbs can easily pay for itself. Had I been a customer and not the creator of Auction Thumbs, I would have recouped my purchase investment in a few days after installing it and the rest is GRAVY!
During the Holidays you can get $10 off by using coupon code “promocode” during checkout.
